BREAKING NEWS: A Southwest Airlines flight bound for the Southwest US had to make an unexpected and terrifying stopover in Havana after birds collided with the plane’s engine!
Passengers on Flight 3923 were left shaken and distressed after the impact caused the cabin to fill with thick, choking smoke. Videos captured by brave travellers show the panic and chaos as parents tried to comfort crying children and passengers struggled to breathe.

One eyewitness, Marc Antonio, told NBC’s Early TODAY show, “Nobody could breathe. It was burning so much in the lungs. People were just screaming. Kids were screaming.”
Thankfully, the skilled pilots were able to safely return the plane to Havana, where customers were evacuated via slides. All 147 passengers and six staff members escaped without injury, but the event is currently under investigation by the Cuban Aviation Corporation SA (CACSA).
Southwest Airlines released a statement apologizing to customers and offering support. The shaken travellers were taken to an airport terminal and were expected to board a new flight to their destination.
